IISc 1st Indian university to be ranked among world's top 10

IISc Bangalore makes history, ranks 8 in the Top 10 Universities of the World in The Rankings



Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has become India's first university to be ranked among the world's top 10. IISc Bangalore was ranked eighth in the recently released Times Higher Education Rankings of the world's top 10 small universities hosting less than 5,000 students. The top university continues to be the California Institute of Technology, widely known as Caltech.



While the news is exhilarating, it is not so well for IIT Guwahati and Savitribai Phule Pune University which had ranked in the Top 20 last year in the same category. The top University continues to be California Institute of Technology or CalTech as famously referred.

Jio or BSNL whopping 300GB of data at Rs 249 per month!

State-run telecom operator BSNL has now announced a new broadband plan – ‘Unlimited Broadband at Rs 249’ – which will offer almost 300GB of data per month, at the cost of Rs 249. This translates to 10GB of data, per day. Additionally, the plan also offers unlimited night calling (9PM – 7AM) and unlimited calls on Sunday. For the price, you will get a speed of 2 Mbps speed up till 1GB and beyond that limit; the speed will drop down to 1 Mbps. You will also get an unlimited upload and download limit per month. “BSNL is the only operator that is offering cheapest 10 GB per day data download plan under Wireline Broadband services in the country,” the company said in a statement. New Broadband connections can be subscribed by visiting nearest BSNL customer service center or by calling toll free number- 1800 345 1500. Location sharing is live in Google Maps for everyone

Download : Google Maps (Play Store) Google pulled the location sharing features from Google+ recently, which was annoying because the corresponding feature in Maps was not actually available yet. Well, it turns out Google was only a little behind schedule. Location sharing in Maps appears to be rolling out wide right now. Location sharing is accessible from the navigation drawer—it's currently marked with a "New" badge. When you fire it up, you can choose to share your location with anyone you choose for any length of time. You can even leave location sharing on indefinitely. You need to do this even if you had location sharing enabled via the old Google+ method. Locations can be shared via links as well.
